Major Financial Institution Benefits from Cenzic Hailstorm's Custom SmartAttack Creation Functionality

Early in 2004, a new vulnerability was discovered in Internet Explorer that allowed for a new type of Phishing attack: cross-frame scripting. Many top banks around the world were subjected to the results of this vulnerability. Numerous cases of unsuspecting individuals disclosing sensitive account information to cross-frame scripting attackers have been reported.

Cenzic was contacted by a major financial institution and asked to provide a solution for combating this attack. Cenzic's CIA research team analyzed the threat and crafted a new SmartAttack for the Cenzic Hailstorm tool. This compelling new SmartAttack scans an enterprise's web applications for defensive technology designed to combat the cross-frame scripting attack.

This Financial Institution was provided with an assessment solution that they could run against all 800 of their custom applications.
