CEO and President
John Weinschenk is a technology executive who has led several companies to unprecedented success. John's career is marked by an unusually broad background in both engineering and business. John has led technical groups in key security and enterprise software firms, and has brought his in-depth understanding of the latest technologies, market dynamics, and business models to leadership roles in business-strategy and marketing divisions at leading corporations. He brings a unique and rich experience to his role in leading Cenzic from technology innovator to market leader.
Prior to joining Cenzic, John was the Vice President of the Enterprise Services Group at VeriSign, the largest provider of digital trust services in the world. In that role, he held worldwide responsibility for marketing VeriSign's authentication, digital trust, and wireless services to Global 1000 companies. He forged several alliances with strategic partners, including IBM, where he drove the effort to embed VeriSign's public key infrastructure (PKI) technology in network access devices. During his two-year tenure at VeriSign, he led his division to double-digit revenue growth.
Before VeriSign, he served as CEO at TransIndigo. While growing that company from six to more than 50 employees, he shaped it into one of the leading developers of real-time transactional authority, and then oversaw the successful acquisition of the company by RSA. Prior to that, John established numerous pivotal business deals and relationships while holding various executive positions at Entegrity Solutions, including VP of Business Development and Alliances, VP of Product Operations, and VP of Worldwide Marketing. John was also the Director of Business Strategy at HAL Computer Systems, which was acquired by Fujitsu in 1993. Before that, John was Director of Engineering in Unisys Corporation's $1.4 billion Client/Server Systems group.
John holds an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BS in engineering from Union College. John is also a graduate of Stanford University's Executive Management Program, and is a frequent speaker at universities, seminars, and conferences in the US and abroad.
CFO and Vice President of Operations
David Ferguson has over 20 years of experience in senior finance and operations roles at Silicon Valley companies as both a consultant and employee. He is an effective strategic business manager skilled at recognizing opportunities and both influencing and executing their successful outcome across multiple departments. David brings hands-on financial management, adept at creating and refining financial plans & budgets, raising capital, managing cash, building and directing effective financial teams and overseeing the financial audit process. From 2001 to present, he has worked for various high tech firms providing finance and operations consulting services.
He most recently was the CFO at Circle Medical Devices in Los Gatos, CA. From 1998 to 2000, he was the VP of Finance and Operations at Dorado Corporation, located in San Mateo, CA, responsible for leading its finance and administration efforts from inception through second round of venture funding. Prior to Dorado, he spent 9 years at Teach.com (formerly Anderson Soft-Teach) in operating roles of increasing responsibility including Accounting Manager, Controller, VP of Finance and eventually Chief Operating Officer responsible for all day-to-day operations. Teach.com went through a successful acquisition in 1997.
Dave holds a BS degree from the University of California at Davis in Managerial Economics.
Chief Marketing Officer
Bala joined Cenzic in 2012, bringing more than 25 years of technology industry leadership and executive management experience to his role with the company. As the Chief Marketing Officer, he oversees the marketing direction for Cenzic including strategy, branding,go-to-market programs, the cloud business and channels management.
Recognized as a visionary, Bala brings the unique talent to blend business, technology, and market trends into compelling value proposition. His career is marked with valuable contributions in the enterprise software, internet security, data center, mobility, analytics, and the cloud computing domain.
Most recently, Bala co-founded a mobility software company, successfully grew it from 5 to 100 + employees, and oversaw a successful acquisition by private investors. Prior to that, he championed marketing efforts to drive SAP AG into the SME segment. Before his career at SAP AG, he led the global sales and marketing at Trend Micro where he built the SMB business ground-up and grew it over 75% in a year. Bala also held solutions management, technical, sales, business development, branding, and marketing leadership roles at Sprint Wireless, Exodus Communications, and Procter & Gamble; and managed P & L for various business units delivering over $ 500 M in revenues. At Trend Micro and Sprint, he spearheaded the channel strategy, developed the VAR, OEM, SI, Affiliate, Private Label, and Distributor partnerships and doubled channel coverage rapidly.
Bala earned his Bachelor's degree in Engineering from IIT Bombay, India, and Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas.
Vice President of Sales and Business Development
Glenn is responsible for forming strategic alliances to further Cenzic's market presence.
Glenn brings two decades of extensive industry experience in domestic and international environments including sales, business development, global marketing, and strategic relationship management. As vice president of business development, Glenn manages all of Cenzic's channel management functions, including business development and strategic alliances, helping to drive continued growth in the company's core security services and assisting with the company's expansion.
Prior to joining Cenzic, Glenn was SVP of global sales and marketing for Infogain Corporation and previous to that, director of strategic marketing for security products at Seagate Technologies. Glenn is also a previous 15 year employee of Hewlett-Packard and worked at SaaS providers HiFive.net, Inc. and NOCpulse, Inc. as vice president of business development and sales. Glenn received a BS degree from Purdue University in Industrial Management, with a minor in computer science.
Vice President of Engineering
Tyler Rorabaugh is a technology executive with a diverse background in software development and systems engineering ranging from large scale military defense systems, SaaS applications, and network-based appliance solutions. Tyler has led several companies from startup through acquisition and also held consulting and advisory roles at multiple startups.
Prior to Cenzic, Tyler worked at ArcSight (now part of HP) as a Lead Engineer. Tyler was instrumental in developing ArcSight’s appliance based strategy by driving an acquisition which added the needed technology.
Before ArcSight, Tyler worked at Capitol Advantage (acquired by Roll Call Group) developing a "legal" spider and spam engine that crawled congressional websites and allowed US citizens to write to their elected officials.
In his spare time he enjoys consulting startups at the Founder Institute and Angel Capital Summit.
Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems at Radford University.
Chief Technology Officer
Scott has over 20 years in the trenches of envisioning and leading the development of countless advanced software technology products for Web security, SaaS solutions, Artificial Intelligence, advanced IDEs, and collaborative web applications.
Prior to joining Cenzic, Scott was VP of Engineering & CTO of Global Factory, Inc., where he led the development of a SaaS based supply-chain management service, connecting major corporations worldwide. He delivered innovative new approaches for secure B2B collaboration and web-based development.
Prior to joining Global Factory, Scott served as the VP of Software Dev. at IntelliCorp, a ground breaking and renown AI & OO technology company. Intellicorp’s high-end products were used by most of the Fortune 500, and by all major US intelligence agencies, for complex model-based reasoning applications and research. Scott has also led and participated in software dev initiatives at Motorola New Enterprises, Unisys and Varian Associates.
Scott holds a B.S. degree in Cybernetics from San Jose State University.
